This selection is in appreciation of the critters that slither, that burrow, that thrive at the interface between ground, water and sky.

Note: There are a few photographs from a fascinating scene I observed of a snake gripping the leg of a toad. The ordeal lasted several hours: the snake first held the toad, next the toad managed to plunge off the pile of rocks still being gripped by the snake, then the snake lifted the toad up back onto the top of the stone pile, to finish pulling in the toad into a crevice of rocks at the top. What a spectacular scene to witness!
